Holographic Beast is officially 3 years old today. I couldn't have imagined that I'd come this far. "Far" being whatever you want it to mean. But I'm glad I didn't end this project like I wanted to earlier this year. Expect new stuff in the new decade.

I played a show on November 30th with Cold Cave, Former Ghosts, and Stephanie at the Vera Project in Seattle. Not a bad way to end the year at all. Great time.

No shows until next Spring probably. Maybe I'll do some recording and have something out in the next few months. My computer had a fuck up and erased nearly everything, so that's kind of killed the desire to record...

Until then...

HB on Information Overload Unit

Recently, Nika Roza Danilova of Zola Jesus played me on her radio show, Information Overload Unit, on 91.7 fm WSUM, in Madison, Wisconsin.

Playlist:

James Ferraro / Evaporating Night Rose / Chameleon Ballet
Whip and The Body / Taken Teeth / 7"
Nancy & Lee / Sundown, Sundown / Nancy & Lee
Klaus Schulze / Stardancer II / Body Love
Holographic Beast / Side ?? / Perpetual Filth
COUM Transmissions / Nude Supper / The Sound of Porridge Bubbling
Doris Nortin / Megabye / Automatic Feeling

Sadly I missed it because I didn't even know about it until the next day. Still, it was quite an honor.

Perpetual Filth

Listen to the entire "Perpetual Filth" C40 over at:

http://www.last.fm/music/Holographic+Beast/Perpetual+Filth

Perpetual Filth is the long delayed debut release of Holographic Beast. It contains 7 tracks ranging from harsh cut up noise to broken synth melodies to vocal/drone ambience. It focuses on mental/emotional illness, unrequited love, and complete confusion about absolutely everything. It's an attempt at the sometimes seemingly impossible act of moving forward. One can never be completely cleansed of memory.
